Ephrata Public Library Events

I agree that photographs taken of me and/or my children by the library or
local press outlets may be used for publicity purposes.

Computer classes are offered to the public by staff of the Ephrata Public Library. Please abide by the following guidelines:

1. Prerequisites for classes are clearly stated in the class description. All information about prerequisites and skill level should be respected. (Example: Participants must have a Gmail account before class begins.) If a patron needs assistance fulfilling the class prerequisites, they can either ask for assistance at the circulation desk or sign up for one-on-one tutoring before the class. Instructors are not able to teach prerequisites during class.
2. Patrons living outside Lancaster County may not attend classes offered for free. Those patrons may, however, attend fee-based classes.
3. Space is limited for computer classes. Only those patrons who have signed up will be allowed entry.
4. Patrons may use their own laptops, however they must arrive early to establish their internet connection. Instructors are unable to assist with this task before or during classes.
5. 24 hour notice must be given if a patron cannot attend a class for which they’ve registered. If notice is not given, a $5 charge will be assessed to their library account. We have waiting lists for almost every class and if a patron does not show up without notifying the library, we cannot call the next person on the waiting list.
6. All students wishing to attend a class MUST have a library card from a Lancaster County library.
7. Fee-based classes MUST be prepaid at the time of registration. Library staff are available to assist with registration at the library.
8. The library reserves the right to cancel classes if enrollment is below certain levels.
