PlayLab: Sensory Exploration Workshop

Children, tweens, and teens with sensory processing disorder and those on the autism spectrum will experience new “sensory” sensations while building stronger problem solving, logic, and fine motor skills in this one hour of play. Parents will be able to form interpersonal support groups with one another and will be provided with literature and local resources within the Wellspan Network. Through dimmed lights, weighted blankets, noise cancelling headphones, and an understanding environment, participants will be able to freely explore their senses through books and various types of play. Groups are welcome to attend with advanced notification and registration. Questions can be directed to Sarah Roeske, Children’s Librarian, sroeske@ephratapubliclibrary.org or call 717-738-9291. For parents, caregivers, children and individuals.
